Websterville, Vermont — Vermont Creamery has once again earned B Corporation recertification, achieving its highest score yet: 89 points. The company first became a Certified B Corporation in 2014, joining a global movement of businesses that balance purpose and profit. Eleven years later, that commitment has only deepened.

B Corp certification, administered by the nonprofit B Lab, recognizes companies that meet rigorous standards for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. To maintain certification, businesses must recertify every two to three years and demonstrate continuous improvement across a broad range of criteria, from employee well-being to environmental stewardship.

“Recertifying as a B Corp is more than a milestone; it is a living commitment to how we operate every day,” said Harrison Kahn, General Manager of Vermont Creamery. “This year’s result reflects the dedication of our entire team to integrity and community. It’s a testament to the hard work of our employees, our partners in the Vermont dairy community, and everyone who believes business can be a force for good.”

This year’s assessment highlighted Vermont Creamery’s steady progress across multiple areas of the business. The company has invested in employee engagement and support programs, including a partnership with Green Mountain United Way’s Working Bridges program to strengthen employee wellbeing.

The Creamery also earned high marks for its contributions to the local community, from consistent workforce growth and a strong commitment to local suppliers to charitable support through volunteering, product donations, and sponsorships.

Through partnerships with organizations such as the Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center and UVM Extension, Vermont Creamery has worked to strengthen the Vermont goat dairy supply chain, a focused effort that received special recognition in this year’s evaluation. These achievements reflect a core belief that thriving employees, responsible sourcing, and strong local partnerships are essential to long-term success.

Vermont Creamery is proud to be part of one of the most vibrant B Corp communities in the country. Vermont’s network of Certified B Corporations, spanning food, agriculture, outdoor recreation, and more, has become a model for how local businesses can work together to protect the environment, support employees, and strengthen their communities. Vermont currently boasts the highest number of B Corps per capita, with more than 40 certified businesses headquartered in the state.

Since its founding in 1984, Vermont Creamery has built its reputation on consciously crafted dairy, a commitment to sustainability, and the belief that good food can be good for people and the planet. The B Corp framework continues to serve as both compass and challenge, ensuring the company keeps raising the bar on its environmental and social impact.
